Haven’t posted in here for about ten days due to the fact that everything lately has been hectic as one can imagine around the holidays. Been busy with RIT stuff as I’ll be attending college there next fall for Computer Science. I’m pretty stoked about all of it, a new chapter in life and everything. Even more so, I can’t wait for the summer leading up to it. It’ll be a great time with all my friends but yet it will kind of suck because it will be the last time I get to see a bunch of people until break comes.
Winter break has been exciting seeing the family from Maryland and hanging out with a bunch of my friends. It has been very busy always going somewhere. I think my nights were spent mostly at home or at the pool hall the two nights I went with Jess. Winter break gives us 3 more weeks until midterms, and it’s time to start reviewing some for the very few tests I have this year.
I’ll write a bit more later because I’m a bit tight on time. For anyone who does read this, please take the time to click on the google ad to the right as it gives me cash towards a laptop I’ll be getting for college.

The Thrice show this past Friday with Brand new was pretty amazing. It was the first concert I’ve been to with a major band playing so it was pretty exciting too go see a band that influenced me to pick up guitar in the first place. Seeing them perform live just reinforces the fact on how talented they are. It was great to see how they did the stuff you hear in their albums with the effects and everything. The encore with all 3 bands playing together was pretty sweet. Mewithoutyou had a song where four drummers played and Thrice performed “The Earth Will Shake” with 3 drummers which made a nasty song even nastier. I was quite surprised to hear the Water tracks from “The Alchemy Index Vol I and II”. Thrice does a good job performing those live and its quite creative how they gave the Water it’s amazing sound.
So since that show, I’ve been trying to make up a few different riffs that go together and sound of a cross between Thrice and The Receiving End of Sirens. Seeing Thrice live has just influenced me a bit more to put some things together that I can play with a few different people and have an epic sound to it without sounding too much like anything out there. I guess I’ll have to make my skills grow and maybe we’ll be lucky with some work of art out of it all.

A few months ago I had a custom blog up here until my web server went down. Now I have finally put a new page up and will be posting here regularly again. I will be doing custom jobs on this site to make it my own so you’ll see some cool things on the way. Check back later for something about the Thrice show from Friday night.
