The War of All Against All

It has been a little bit since I’ve posted here so I figured now would be a good time to give an update. The past two weeks have been pretty well and pretty busy. I can’t wait for this year to finally be over and then the fun will begin. With AP tests starting this week, the stress begins but I don’t think this time it will be that bad. The two AP tests (calc and physics) are going to be pretty tough so I don’t really have any great expectations to come from them. Speaking of school, I spent this past week signing stuff for state loans and all that stuff for my financial aid for college. Reading all the fine print is annoying because there is so much crap in it and mom just wants to make sure everything is all good before I sign my life after college away (only for a short while ha).

Work at Circuit City starts tomorrow so I’ll be there at noon training and getting accustomed to their system and way of doing things. With another job I’m not sure how my time will be after this but I’ll make sure the time i do have is either with my lovely girlfriend or my friends. It is only a matter of time before they leave for college over the summer and then it’ll be awhile before I see any of them. A good portion of them are staying close to home which is good but the others that aren’t I sure will miss being able to stop by anytime. We’ll handle that when the time comes I guess

The Receiving End of Sirens had their farewell show in Rhode Island last night and I’m disappointed that I was unable to go. Heard from a few friends that went that it was pretty epic and I really wish I could’ve seen them for the first, and what would’ve been the last time ever. They have been an inspiration to me with my guitar and learning their songs to teach myself has been something that will stick forever. Even though it was their last show, their music will live on and I hope in the future we can see them coming back together.

I’m in a war right now with my parents about getting a car soon so I won’t have to rely on their schedules for work. It is quite annoying especially when they are thinking about having me on my own insurance plan which could mean $1,200 for 6 months. I pretty much wouldn’t be able to afford that, a car, and have money left over to do anything else with the way gas is, so that is quite the bullshit idea. I’m trying to work them over having the car on their plan but we’ll see how working them over this week goes… Dad is almost ok with it, but it is mom who needs to be worked on.

Really I can only think of two things that have been good in the past week and a half: my friends and my girlfriend. I think the only reason why I somewhat enjoy the bullshit we do these days (aka last few months of senior year) is cause of my friends. Brandon came home from boot camp for 10 days and seeing him in school was pretty good. Was glad to see how the marines changed him a little bit, but then again he was still the old Brandon as well. Hopefully I’ll get to see him after he comes back from his combat or whatever training he has to do next. I think the only thing that has been keeping me sane the past week with all the bullshit that has been going on is my girlfriend. I can’t begin to say how happy I’ve been for what is almost a month now that we’ve been dating. Thinking back I can just remember of how shitty a mood I was in most of the time before we started dating. I’m glad all that has changed now and I couldn’t be happier right now if I didn’t have her =).

Maybe in the next post I’ll talk about volleyball since it has finally started again, well at least open gyms once a week. I can’t even find the words to explain volleyball right now cause it can be many extremes haha.

As TREOS likes to say, “Take care of each other” until next time,

First day back, and latest happenings

So today was the first day back to school after a much needed Spring Break. I think it was safe to say that break went really well compared to how I had foreseen it to be long before it was even here. I guess some change of events caused this but I can’t complain because these events aren’t bad at all. I know I’ve been slacking at keeping this update with anything over the past few months but I’ve been so busy, so lets just start off with before break.

Shannon and IThe week off was well spent with my new girlfriend Shannon that I am pretty lucky to have. Over the past week I’ve been so happy with her and I don’t think I can remember when I’ve been this happy with a girl in a very long time (sorry to those ex’s that actually read this, but i doubt most of them do). She actually treats me like a real boyfriend and not someone who is just there along for the ride. Mom has said in the past that sometimes I spend too much time with a girl, but this time I just laughed and said, “I could careless, she deserves it” and smirked :-) . I can honestly say that my break couldn’t have been any more well spent than it was being with her.

Another highlight of break I guess was now acquiring what is a third job at Circuit City. I’ll be a Sales Associate starting off with Computers and Imaging which should be a new experience selling stuff to people. I’m looking forward to starting this week sometime. With another job comes a car soon enough so I’ve been looking around for something cool. It’s a bit hard finding something that has low insurance, high gas millage, but still looks cool. I guess it all is with being a kid so to speak and wanting something powerful and sporty. I’ll get there someday I guess haha.

It is getting close to the end of the year with something like 6-7 weeks of school left for my senior year. I think it is safe for a lot of us to say that the year flew by while on the other hand at times it felt like it dragged on and on. I can’t wait for summer to come and be done with what seems to be a senseless end of the year. I’m basically done with what I need to graduate and all I need to do is stick out the last few weeks and have some fun with my class of 2008. Should be fun so let the good times roll.

I’ll check back in a few days and try to keep this more updated than I have been.
